ADVID/CoLAB VINES&WINES participates, through Leonor Pereira, responsible for robotics and mechanization, in the 7th edition of World FIRA, from 7 to 9 February in Toulouse, France.
Considered the world’s main event for innovation in agricultural automation and robotics, it aims to showcase new players and technologies for autonomous agriculture, through the presentation of the latest technological innovations, scientific advances, legislative measures, and also different end-user experiences.
This event is of high importance, since field demonstrations of more than 25 autonomous agricultural robots will take place in 1.5 ha cultivated plots and in other exhibition areas. The equipments will present different solutions for vineyards and other crops. The WETA robot, presented by the associate INESC TEC, developed under the European project SCORPION (https://scorpion-h2020.eu/), stands out. It has different capabilities to perform monitoring tasks, precision spraying, weeding and selective harvesting in the context of permanent and tree crops.
